With an impressive time of 7 minutes and 20.77 seconds, 15-year-old Arnav Rathi (USA), a teenage juggling sensation of Indian descent, has set a new record for the longest period juggling three flaming torches. Earlier this year, Ian Stewart (Canada) set a record of 5 minutes and 33.82 seconds.Arnav is a sophomore in high school, the founder and director of a juggling summer camp, and a part-time circus coach.Arnav claims that although there are safety risks, working with fire isn’t as risky as it would seem.He said,”There is also a risk of burning fuel to fly off the torch and hit me, this is why I failed my first attempt, about half way through I got a bit of burning fuel under my eye and I dropped one. There was no lasting effect but it shocked me enough to drop.”
