Social media users were shocked to learn that a 32-year-old man had been buried in a grave excavated within his family’s home.
In the video, which was posted on TikTok, family members could be seen grieving over their older brother. A pastor guided the siblings through the last burial ceremonies while they stood on top of the soil, Tuko reports.
The 32-year-old man’s coffin was placed inside a grave that had been excavated in one of their rooms.
One of the grieving brothers stepped forward, picked up a spade, and filled the casket with soil. Then a young woman, struggling to grip the spade and toss dirt into the grave, sobbed. She also carried a garland of flowers that appeared to be intended for the top of the completely covered grave.
TikTok was flooded with comments from online users who sympathized with the family’s loss and questioned why the burial was held inside a house.
