
Colorado’s Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD) officers helped in the release of a bear that had become stuck in a car on July 29. Manitou Springs Fire Department (MSFD) crews were dispatched to a home in an attempt to remove a bear that had become stuck inside a car. The car was severely damaged while the bear tried to escape, however no one was injured in the incident.According to MSPD, the incident is an important reminder that bears are very intelligent and have an exceptional sense of smell that is thought to be more than 2,100 times stronger than that of humans.Bears can be drawn to even small amounts of food, food wrappers, drinks, pet food, coolers, or other smelly items left inside a car, FOX 31 reports.
