Australian Mother and Pro Kickboxer who Faked Cancer Diagnosis to Receive Donations Imprisoned

After being convicted of accepting donations for a fake cancer diagnosis, a kickboxer and mother of four from Perth is currently in jail. With the use of a GoFundMe video, Tara Michelle Enoka deceived $36,000 in donations from friends, family, and people from across the world.

After being convicted of accepting donations for a fake cancer diagnosis, a kickboxer and mother of four from Perth is currently in jail. With the use of a GoFundMe video, Tara Michelle Enoka deceived $36,000 in donations from friends, family, and people from across the world.

Three months ago, Enoka was seen competing in kickboxing in Bangkok and appeared to be in good health, 9 News,Australia reports

Enoka even used the hashtag “Stand With Tara” to pocket the money after accepting donations from all across the world.

As her sentence of 13 months in prison, 11 of which are suspended, was announced, the mother of four sobbed.
