
According to a United States Department of Agriculture inspection report, a sloth bit a child at a family-run zoo in Cameron, North Carolina, United States.The incident occurred at the Aloha Safari Park, according to the USDA report submitted in April.The toddler was bitten on the face during a “public interaction event,” according to the report, where guests are allowed to hold a sloth in their lap under the supervision of an attendant.A manager stated that the child holding the sloth tried to embrace or kiss it while the attendant was speaking with a parent, but the sloth bit them.The child received treatment for a minor chin injury, WRAL reports.
