
On August 20 afternoon, North Richland Hills police in Texas rescued a little exotic animal identified by experts as a kinkajou, a small mammal native to the tropical forests of Central and South America that was seeking shelter from the heat outside a pizzeria.When an unidentified creature was spotted hiding outside a store, police were called to the scene. According to a statement from the police, they found a small animal seeking shelter from the heat when they arrived. The creature was visibly hot and thirsty. The animal was successfully captured by Officer Dylan Davis and sent to NRH Animal Services, which is currently looking for its owner or a long-term care facility, KERA News reports.
