Venomous Jararaca Snake Rescued Inside Brazilian House

On February 24, police Bothrops jararaca the Environmental Military Police Battalion (BPMA) rescued a jararaca snake from a house in the Vale das Acácias Condominium in Sobradinho II,northeast of Brasília.The resident found the snake inside the house and called the team.

No injuries were recorded during the police’s safe rescue operation once they reached the scene. After its capture, the animal was released back into the wild in a location remote from habitation.

On the evening of February 24, police officers from the Environmental Military Police Battalion (BPMA) rescued a jararaca snake from a house in Sobradinho II’s Vale das Acácias Condominium. The resident discovered the snake inside the house and called the team.

The venomous pit viper species Bothrops jararaca, also called the jararaca snake, is primarily found in the grasslands and forests of southern and southeast Brazil.
