UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Priyanka Chopra Jonas Met Ukrainian Refugee Families in Poland

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, visited with refugee families who had left the conflict in Ukraine in Poland and urged for increased aid for refugee kids.Chopra Jonas spoke with mothers and kids from Ukraine who are currently residing at the centre, the largest in the nation, while visiting a “Blue Dot” space at the Refugee Accommodation Center in Warsaw.Over the two days, Chopra Jonas visited a number of UNICEF programmes at its recently established response office in Poland, which was established in the wake of the Ukraine war. She spent time at a UNICEF-supported Education Hub that aids Ukrainian children with catch-up learning, language training, soft skills, and other activities prior to the start of the new school year in collaboration with the Warsaw Municipality.At a “Spynka” Early Childhood Development centre, which offers support and childcare to Ukrainian refugees, Chopra Jonas interacted with young children and mothers and learned firsthand about the struggles of families.The majority of children—nearly two thirds—are displaced either within Ukraine or in its neighbouring nations, with Poland hosting the most. Women and children make up more than 90%.
