On July 6, 2026, a trapped raccoon on Matty Drive was rescued by the Pennsylvania’s Rostraver Township police department, Rostraver Fire Department firefighters, and public works officials, WPXI News reports. When they arrived, they found a raccoon trapped in a storm grate, its body dangling into the drain below and its head poking out of the top of a hole.The raccoon was set free by firefighters using a HURST Jaws of Life rescue tool.The animal was immediately released to its natural habitat.
