
After failing to scale a fence, a tabby cat sustained injuries when sharp spikes punctured its leg. It was unable to move and screamed in pain. The tabby cat was saved by local residents and disaster relief workers.
The stray cat, which lived in a village in Huai Kaphi Subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi District, Chonburi Province, Thailand, was injured in both its left front and right hind leg by sharp spikes from a village wall fence after hours of waiting. It couldn’t get free and stayed trapped for hours, Channel 7 News, Thailand reports.
The Chonburi Disaster Relief Department (DPRD) was alerted by the locals. Already in pain, the cat bit the hand of one of the officials trying to free it during the rescue effort, ripping through their glove. The male tabby cat was successfully released from the fence by the DPRD team’s efforts.
