According to experts, limiting the immediate impact of the incident on clients and business associates, recovering from the incident, figuring out how to prevent future exploitation of the same vulnerability, preventing the escalation of future attacks, and assessing the impact and damage in terms of financial impact, data loss, processing loss, data breaches, and reputation are the objectives of security incident response activities.
