According to authorities, a goat that was rescued by Connecticut’s Wilton police and firefighters has been claimed and set free. Over the weekend, a picture of the goat in the rear seat of a cruiser was shared by the police department. The rescue and search for the owner of the missing animal were mocked by the police, who described it as the “arrest” of a “suspicious suspect” they found “trespassing” near Danbury Road and Ridgefield Road. After finding the owner and releasing the “suspect” from the animal shelter’s custody, police updated their original post, News12, Connecticut reports.
