When her home caught fire, a woman from North Jersey is hailing her dog as a hero for saving her life. While Aida Kelly was sleeping on June 19 morning, her home in West Milford, Passaic County caught fire. She claims that shortly before one in the morning, her three-year-old pet poodle, “Squilliam,” started barking, WPVI reports. She told her dog to keep quiet at first, but then she heard the smoke detectors going off. Kelly claims that she took the dog and ran from the flaming house. Squilliam’s warning prevented the destruction of the house, but Kelly and her pet are doing fine.
