
Orientals are slender and sleek cats developed in the UK during the 1950s mated with British, European, and American Shorthairs with Siamese cats.The traditional solid, tabby, tortie, and torbie are among the hundreds of color and pattern variations available for these medium-sized cats.They are 3 to 9 kgs (8 to 22 pounds) in weight, 9 to 11 inches (22 to 27 cms) tall, and have an average lifespan of 10 to 15 years.It is stated that the Siamese and Oriental Shorthairs have very similar personalities.They are friendly, active cats who enjoy vocalizing.Oriental Shorthair cats need regular exercise and stimulation because they are energetic and playful.
