

To make it easier for victims and complainants to file online complaints about cybercrime, the Indian government launched the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. It offers an easy-to-use platform for citizens to safely and anonymously report a variety of cybercrimes, with a concentration on cybercrimes against women and children.Cyberbullying, internet fraud, identity theft, and hacking are among the offences covered by National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Online complaint filing, evidence uploading, and case status tracking are all available to users. In order to assist users in preventing cyber accidents, the portal also provides resources, such as recommendations and advice on cyber safety.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) oversees the Cyber Swachhta Kendra (Botnet Cleaning and Malware Analysis Centre), which is a component of the Government of India’s Digital India initiative. Its goal is to identify botnet infections in India and to alert, enable, and secure end users’ systems to stop further infections.
Users of the Cyber Alart app can submit a cyber complaint by using the e-filing link that comes with the Cyber Complaint Tracker/Status. The application offers the most recent forms and updates along with a wealth of information about cyber security and cyber law.Users can use the app to navigate to the closest Cyber Police station from a list of stations.
