
The medium-sized Lapponian Herder is an ancient herding breed from northern Finland.They have double coats, the outer one being rather long, straight, harsh, and upright. It has a dense, fine undercoat.They have dark brown, gray, or black coats with lighter tones.They are about 17 and 21 inches ( 43 to 53 cm) tall, weigh between 29 to 36 kg (65 and 80 pounds) for males and between 27 to 34 kg (60 and 75 pounds) for females, and their average lifespan between 12 and 14 years.They are loyal, loving, intelligent, friendly and energetic.
