Valentina Tobon Henao, a 25-year-old Brookhaven resident, is accused of animal cruelty after witnesses saw her toss three kittens from a moving car on August 5. Around 2:30 p.m. on that day, Brookhaven Police officers responded to a report of typical animal cruelty in the area of Peachtree Road and Osborne Road, FOX 5 Atlanta reports. A witness told the police that while heading on Osborne Road near Peachtree Road, a person inside a silver Toyota Sienna threw several kittens out of the car. Officers were given a description of the driver and the license plate details by the witness.A dead kitten was found in the roadway near to the 2700 block of Osborne Road SE by police conducting a search. After identifying the car, investigators determined that Tobon Henao was driving it. Later, she was found in a nearby business and taken into custody.
