
Originating in Japan, the Kai Ken is a medium-sized dog breed that was used extensively as a hunting dog.The Kai Ken has double coats: a thick, straight, coarse outer coat and a soft, dense undercoat. Black, red, and brindle are the colors of Kai Ken’s brindle coat.They are 13 to 18 kg (30 to 40 pounds) in weight, 17 to 22 inches ( 43 to 55 kg) tall, and have an average lifespan of 12 to 15 years.The Kai Ken is known for its loyalty to its owner and for getting along well with kids and other animals.As energetic dogs, they need regular excercise.
