Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) is an approach of developing and implementing AI systems that puts human needs, values, and well-being first. The objective of human-centered AI is to design AI systems that complement, enrich, and work together with humans rather than taking their place.HAI ensures transparency, equity, and trust by aligning AI systems with human values and ethical standards. In order to guaranty socially responsible AI, HAI focuses on tackling ethical issues, data protection, and user trust. To create flexible, context-aware AI systems, HAI integrates knowledge from computer science, psychology, and sociology. The first global standard on AI ethics, the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, was adopted by UNESCO’s 193 member states in November 2021.It states that AI must uphold human dignity and rights. Its ethical foundation is based on fundamental principles including fairness, transparency, environmental sustainability, and human oversight of AI systems.
