With roots in the high Himalayan mountains, the Himalayan Sheepdog is a large, strong and robust breed.They are between 20 to 29 inch (51 and 76 cm) in height, weigh between 30 and 40 kg (66 to 88 pound) and their average lifespan is 10 to 14 years. The coat is double layered, with a long, rough outer coat that is longer and feathered on the back and shorter on the legs. The undercoat is very thick. Their coat colors include black, black and tan, white, golden.They are affectionate, loyal, and friendly.
