A wild elephant from Khao Yai National Park was seen on CCTV entering a well-known Northeastern Thai restaurant in Khao Yai.
In quest of food, the early-morning arrival of the wild elephant damaged fruit shelves in front of the restaurant and destroyed property. This is the second time this year that wild elephants have foraged outside of their usual habitat, Channel News 7, Thailand reports.
The first incident happened on March 11th, when wild elephants destroyed fruit shelves and other items in front of the eatery. Khao Yai National Park’s wild elephants frequently go outside of their usual habitat, typically in groups of ten.
