Elephant Phlai Saentan’s birthday was celebrated on May 22 with a sumptuous fruit feast at the Saen Elephant Family residence in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai, Thailand. This young elephant was given plenty of food and fruits by the team of mahouts and caretakers.After being saved by Phra Kru Odd of Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, the elephant Phlai Saentan and Orraphan Singhaseni traveled from the south to the north to be dedicated as a “Elephant of the Nation” under the care of the Saen Elephant Family.At now, Phlai Saentan lives at the Saen Elephant Family home, where he is closely monitored by a group of experienced mahouts who are in charge of his daily routine, food, and health.
