In order to save a schnauzer that had crawled out of an open window and became stuck, a Baltimore County police officer scaled the roof of a two-story townhouse on Pine Street in Dundalk.On May 12, Silver, the dog, made her way up there, got out through a rear window, and became stuck on the roof.A neighbor made help call.Silver was first reached from inside the house by Baltimore County Police Department officer Alex Flores.After that, Flores scaled the roof and coaxed Silver to come near enough for retrieval, WMAR 2 News Baltimore reports.They were both safely brought back down with the help of the fire department.Silver was under the care of Baltimore County Animal Services, which visited to the home on May 13 afternoon to perform a welfare check.According to a spokeswoman, a continuing inquiry includes a veterinarian examination and welfare checks on the other pets in the house. Until those outcomes are known, Silver will be in county custody.
