According to the UN refugee agency, winter storms have only worsened the situation and aggravated suffering (UNHCR).This winter threatens to be the harshest ever for refugees, displaced families, and their host communities. COVID-19 is a concern to displaced persons who are already facing record cold temperatures and are battling to keep their families warm in tents or makeshift shelters.According to the UNHCR, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt have approximately ten million internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees.Over 3.3 million of them need aid to prepare for and cope with the winter.
