
Cimarron Uruguayo is said to be descended from dogs that the Portuguese and Spanish invaders brought to Uruguay.These medium-sized dogs are muscular, compact, agile, and have strong bones.Their coat is tiger-striped with tawny tints, and their hair is short and dense.They range in height from 22 to 24 inches (58 to 61 cm) for male and 21 to 22 inches (55 to 58 cm) for female, weigh between 33 and 47 kg ( 72 to 103 pounds) and have an average lifespan of 10 to 13 years.They are excellent guard dogs and loyal to their owners.
