
The Berger Picard dog breed, which originated in the Picardie region of France as herding and guarding sheep, is said to be the oldest French herding breed.
The medium-sized, strong, and somewhat longer-than-tall Berger Picard has a distinctive rough coat, upright ears.Their medium-length, wiry double coat is often brindle or fawn, with or without white markings.
Male Berger Picards are 23.5 to 25.5 inches tall, female 21.5 to 23.5 inches tall, weigh 50 to 70 pounds, and typically live 12 to 14 years.
They are basically herding dog and are very active.They are affectionate, friendly and ideal companion dogs.They need regular exercise.
