The Belgian Tervuren, a large sized sheepdog breed originated in Belgium, is a confident herding dog.They develop close relationships with owner and are loyal family dogs. They have strong protective instincts and are alert. If they are socialized in early age, they get along well with children.Their coats are fawn, light or deep brown with black accents, and they are double-layered, dense, and coarse.Male height is 24 to 26 inches (61 to 66 cm), while female height is 22 to 24 inches (56 to 61 cm). Male weight is 29 to 34 kg (65 to 75 pounds), while female weight is 27 to 32 kg (60 to 70 pounds). The average lifespan is 12 to 24 years.
