
According to the legal firm Alpizar Law, a jury in Brevard County, Florida, granted a woman who ate metal-contaminated ice cream more than $14 million.
According to News6clickorlando.com, after eating the ice cream from a Malabar franchise in 2018, the woman named Brandy Buckley, suffered severe injuries.
The lawsuit claims that at the time, she bought the ice cream at the drive-thru window at the Malabar facility, which is located at 329 Malabar Road in Palm Bay.
The court records also shows that several pieces of metal and one of the nails were removed during surgery. Alpizar Law points out that the victim eventually experienced issues like portal vein thrombosis and severe internal bleeding, which led to an ablation that caused irreversible infertility.
