A Ryanair pilot was forced to abandon a landing at Bristol Airport in the United Kingdom due to the disruptive behavior of a 61-year-old man, who was given a 10-month prison sentence. The incident, which happened on a flight from Kraków, Poland, on November 11, 2025, left the crew and passengers fearing about their safety.
Magistrates were informed that Stephen Blofield, 61, was so drunk aboard the aircraft that both the crew and other passengers were afraid for their safety, BristolLive reports.
He had been drinking doubles at the airport in Krakow, Poland, and his Boeing flight was on the approach to Bristol Airport, UK, when he started raising alarm.
At one point, he yelled at other passengers, clearly intoxicated and violent, “I’m savage, I drink JD.”
The crew asked him to calm down, and he responded, “You can’t tell me what to do, I’m English.”
He ignored the pilot’s requests as well, and after arriving at Bristol Airport, he was taken into custody by police.
