The fight to lower the speed limit on an Adelaide Hills road, Australia, has taken a weird turn, with a resident armed with a piece of plastic and a few screws taking the matter into his own hands.
A 60km/h sign on Ambleside Road in Hahndorf was switched to 50km/h without the knowledge of authorities, 9 News, Australia reports.
Although some residents have expressed their concerns about speeding on Ambleside Road and are in favour of lowering the speed limit, they also stated that any changes must follow the correct channel.
Meanwhile,the fake speed sign has been removed. In the meantime, it is thought that a load limit sign on the same route has also been altered. It should read 15 tonnes, but the “1” has been taken out.
