An unusual name Ma femme est une cochonne (My Wife is a Pig) picked by a small store in Cannes since early January, and in mid-February, it was forced to take down its sign from its shop. While the town hall maintains that the issue is merely a case of administrative processes not being followed, the owners feel the problem is related to the name they picked for their store.
Since last January, visitors at a tiny store on Boulevard du Perrier have been captivated, surprised, and amused since last January.Ma woman est une cochonne was the store’s official name.
The concept, which is emphasized with a logo that depicts an anthropomorphic pig resting on a sausage, blends outrage and humor. This audacious idea is the brainchild of two Cannes retailers David Prince and Frédéric Saury.
