Thailand’s First Cloned Dog

Kanjanrat Sakdigratanasiri described how the cloned copy of her 9 year old dog, who died in 2023, could still remember Thai commands after being brought from South Korea.

She told the story of how she brought her beloved bulldog Phapang back to life, an operation that cost her at least ฿6 million ($177,000), but it was well worth it for the dog owner, who already has 16 animals.

Kanjanrat, a 50-year-old Thai woman, has defended her choice to clone her beloved dog, who passed away in 2023. Cushing’s syndrome claimed Phapang’s life.
