A Community-Led Farming Initiative in North...

Large areas of land in North India have recently been abandoned in ruins as farmers stopped working their fields. This is due in part to the fact that farming the small patches of land they own was not profitable and in part to the fact that stray animals destroy the crops they planted. A group of farmers have now joined forces to restore these wastelands as part of a project that is assisting rural women in increasing their incomes.
