In Waitangi Park, Wellington,New Zealand,21-year-old Patrick Cooper was swinging on a swing set. At 1:30 pm on Friday, Cooper got onto the swing.Forty-eight hours later, he got off, for the final time. It was 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Cooper took just two toilet breaks over the first 37 hours, for a total of six minutes. He was taking the pursuit of a world record that had been verified by Guinness.
Cooper made an earlier attempt to set the record in 2021. However, his thirty-six hours on the swing could not be verified since a flood light cut out halfway through.
A British guy now holds the Guinness World Record for the challenge, which is 36 hours, 32 minutes.
