Ideological Polarisation: the Political Landscape in India. It’s the fact that Indian are much more polarized than they were in ten or fifteen years ago. The divisions between right winger and so-called liberals on fundamental political issues. In recent years, these gaps have grown even larger.People are becoming more extreme in their ideological leanings.Rigid ideological difference makes it really difficult to express a view independently.Even veteran journalists are trolled by netizens .If some one oppose government policies he or she may be termed as ‘Traitor’ or ready to hear ‘go to Pakistan’ phrase.Right wingers also similarly shamed by being openly ‘mocked’.

Some comments on social media during the latest JNU fiasco illustrate how divided our society is on ideological issues and sometimes they forgot where you drawline.
