
One Russian cat breed that is well-known for its wild look and short “pom-pom” tail is the Kurilian bobtail.They originated hundreds of years ago nearby a group of volcanic islands that are jointly owned by Japan and Russia. This group of islands, called the Kuril Islands, is where they got their name.
They generally fall into the category as medium-sized to large creatures. Compared to females, males are often noticeably larger. The average weight of females is between 8 and 11 pounds.
