Holts Summit Police Officer N. Landrum and Animal Control Officer K. Ward responded to an Animal Rescue call on January 29, 2025, for a dog that had fallen into a lake through the ice at Dogwood Dr. and Summertree Ln.Holts Summit Police Department (Holts Summit siruated in Central Missouri,United States)said on social media,”upon arrival, officers discovered that a brave Good Samaritan had taken a kayak onto the frozen lake in an attempt to save the dog. While the dog had been successfully rescued, the female in the kayak became stuck on the ice, unable to safely return to shore.”Police officers reached the woman and towed her kayak back to shore using a water rescue throw bag.
