The city of New Haven attempted to set the record for the Largest Pizza Party in recognition of its status as the “Pizza Capital of the United States.”, News 8 WTNH reports.

According to Guinness World Records regulations, each competitor had to eat two pizza slices within a set time frame. With an official total of 4,525 attendees, the celebration surpassed the previous record of 3,357 set by the Pizza World Champions in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2023.
