After finding that her husband had a lover, a Thai woman became furious and planted explosives under the mistress’s car. The driver and numerous drivers behind her were startled when the devices detonated while the car was being driven.

On February 24, a black sedan is seen on dashcam footage with smoke and sparks coming from underneath, which may indicate an explosion., Channel 7 News, Thailand reports.

The Don Hua Lo Police Station in Mueang District, Chonburi Province, Thailand, received a report of a suspicious object that looked like an explosive device beneath a car. Inspection revealed that it was a homemade, improvised explosive device made out of four incendiary bottles. Three pieces of ammunition remained unexploded after one bottle had already detonated.

For a detailed investigation, the Chonburi Provincial Forensic Science Center and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal team were contacted. Installed beneath the vehicle’s fuel tank, they discovered the remaining three bottles contained one bottle of gasoline and two bottles of black powder which detonated remotely.

The female suspect confessed that the victim was her husband’s mistress and that she planned to place an improvised explosive device underneath the vehicle near the fuel tank. She claimed that two of her male suspects, who were employed at the same establishment, bought the parts to put this kind of explosive device together and studied how to deploy it online.

They were accused by the police of premeditated attempted murder, together producing or having explosives without authorization, and jointly causing an explosion that threatened people or their property.
