Colombian Influencer “Epa Colombia” Gets Five-Year Prison Sentence

For the offenses of aggravated property damage, public transportation disruption, and incitement to commit a crime for terrorist purposes, Colombian influencer Daneidy Barrera Rojas, better known as Epa Colombia, was given a five-year and three-month prison sentence.A video of her damaging a TransMilenio bus station in Bogotá was shared on social media by Epa Colombia during the demonstrations against the administration of former President Iván Duque in November 2019. She is seen smashing the station’s windows, card readers, and access register with a hammer in the video, which went viral at once. Authorities opened an investigation on her.
