The Bergamasco is a medium-sized sheepdog with a dense, matted coat and a square face.It actually originated in the European Alps, namely in the Italian province of Bergamo, from from where it gets its name.
Bergamasco Sheepdogs are 20 to 24 inches ( 50 to 60 cm) tall, weigh 25 to 38 kg (57 to 85 pounds), and average lifespan 13 to 15 years.They may have black patches on their long, corded black or gray coats.
Bergamasco Sheepdogs are loyal and ideal family companions. They need frequent exercise because they are an energetic breed of dog.
