After Inhaling Deodorant Spray in TikTok Challenge,Eight Years Old Brazilian Girl Dies

After her participation in the so-called “deodorant challenge,” which has been making the rounds on TikTok, an eight-year-old girl in Brazil died on April 13.Police said, Sarah Raíssa Pereira de Castro was hospitalized in the Federal District on April 10,when she inhaled the gas from a spray deodorant while participating in the challenge. Following attempts at resuscitation, the medical team confirmed brain death due to the inhalation causing a cardiorespiratory arrest.

The Federal District’s Civil Police launched an investigation to find out how the child obtained the challenge content and to find out who shared it.The girl’s phone was confiscated and sent for forensic examination.
